Gambling own feelings.

Gamblers have feelings and aspirations which are commonly different or divergent from others. There is a different logic which some gamblers use, which can be different from common presumptions of other people. They may be based on fallacies, however they are different. The feelings may be built upon deeply felt beliefs.

Some of the feelings may be:

  • Life is fair - if a person tries hard they will be rewarded. Gambling is not like that!
  • The money that has been lost is not actually 'gone' - losses can still be recovered by 'better gambling'.
  • The gambling industry is 'out to get them'.
  • Bets are each somehow connected; that one loss means the next bet has more chance of winning.
  • Gambling has a level of control of the problem gambler which is not true.
  • A feeling that clients  do not have their own control of their own lives and environment, or most of it.
  • Gamblers commonly consider themselves as victims to the situations of their economy.
  • Gamblers often feel that they have been cheated, they are encouraged to 'get back' at the gambling industry.
  • Gamblers commonly feel that they should have more money than they have available, they blame others.
